Erik Blees is originally from St. Louis, USA. He is joining ISNS this year, along with his wife, Gretchen, who is also teaching at ISNS, and their two young daughters. 

Erik began his teaching career as high school English teacher and tennis coach in 1997 in the US, but his dream was always to live overseas permanently and travel the world. Now, he has been living in Asia for twenty years, where he has taught at the secondary, college and university levels during that time.

Apart from school, Erik loves hiking, spicy food, waterfalls, fruit, camping, coffee, classic hip hop and laughter. Erik hates mosquitos, cold weather and onions.
