Ama Irvin

K5 Homeroom Teacher And Team Lead

Ama Irvin is a K5 teacher at ISNS. She is from beautiful Barcelona, Venezuela on the breezy shore of the Caribbean Sea. She holds a  bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Simon Rodriguez Experimental National University and Master of Science from State University Of New York. 

Since 2007, Ama has taught at the primary level in international education. She has taught Pre-school, K4, along with Grades 1 to 3. She is also a specialist in environmental science. She believes the power of developing meaningful relationships is vital to successful learning. 

Ama Irvin is married to Chris Irvin, MYP principal at ISNS, and they have two teenage sons Brandon and Dion. She enjoys outdoor activities, sports, and is interested in culinary arts. Ama and her family are proud to become part of this community of committed educators. She has found ISNS to be a wonderful environment, a collaborative place of learning that engages students, staff, families and the community. The Irvin’s are looking forward to learning more about the Chinese culture and language.
