Kot Seen is a K3 homeroom teacher at ISNS. His family is from Cambodia and moved to the Washington, DC area of the United States at 2 years old. Kot went to college and graduate school in New York and studied TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). He is certified in elementary education.
Kot has over nine year of teaching experience including five years teaching kindergarten. Before joining ISNS, Kot taught college and graduate students in China for four years and then transitioned to teaching kindergarten for four years in Shanghai.
Kot trained to be an ESL teacher in the United States but his life changed when he came to China to teach English at a summer camp. After nearly a decade teaching early years and higher education in China, Kot discovered his passion working with the youngest learners.
China has a special place in Kot’s heart. He met his wife, another ISNS early years teacher, in China when they taught at Zhejiang Normal University’s English summer camp in 2001. He and his family have lived in China since 2012 calling Jinhua, Shanghai, and now Shenzhen their home.
