Andrew Robinson

MYP Individuals and Societies teacher & GRADE 8 Team Lead

Andrew Robinson is a MYP Individuals and Societies teacher at ISNS. He was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina in the United States. He graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and minors in Political Science and Social Science. Following graduation, Andrew pursued a lifelong desire to teach internationally. He taught English Language Acquisition to elementary and middle public school students in Jeju Island, South Korea from 2013—2017 through the EPIK Program. In South Korea, he met his wife, Mariek Kocay, who also works at ISNS as a Language and Literature teacher for the MYP. Andrew attained his Bachelor of Education with a focus on international education from the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada in May of 2019. 

Andrew is an encouraging educator who also has high expectations of his students. He hopes to help them foster their academic prowess and implement a pragmatic skills-based approach to learning. When not in the classroom, he can be found helping students improve their health and self-esteem as a track and field coach at ISNS.
