Laurie Seen

K5 Homeroom Teacher

Laurie is a K5 teacher at ISNS.  Laurie is from the United States, and earned her teaching license while studying for her master’s degree at the State University of New York at Albany.  Laurie began her teaching career in 2004, and has taught in public schools in New York and Ohio, as well as international schools in China.  In Laurie’s teaching experience, she has worked as an English as a Second Language teacher for grades K-12, a university instructor at a key university in China, as well as a homeroom teacher for Prekindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 3.  

Laurie moved to China in 2012 with her husband and two boys.  Laurie is married into a Cambodian-American family and has a love for Asia and learning about other cultures.  Laurie also enjoys reading, walking and being a mom.  Laurie is excited to call the beautiful city of Shenzhen her home. 

Laurie is thrilled to be a teacher at ISNS, and is eager to implement the IB framework in order to see her students grow socially and academically.  Laurie considers it a privilege and great opportunity for growth to be a part of the ISNS community!
