James is from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He attended the University of New Brunswick where he completed concurrent Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees with a concentration in English and History. James has spent the past 10 years teaching in Shenzhen, China.
Before moving to China, James taught for the English Language Program at the University of New Brunswick. This opportunity offered him the chance to work with international students, sparking an interest in working and living abroad. An avid chess player, James likes to bring critical thinking and strategy into the classroom. He believes that learning happens best when students are engaged and take ownership of the learning process. James is looking forward to a productive and fulfilling year at ISNS.
