Paul is from North Carolina, in the United States. He is an MYP Design teacher and manages the Design Workshop at ISNS. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a US teaching license, and a TEFL certificate. He has extensive experience in many creative and technical pursuits and is a life-long learner. 

Before joining ISNS, Paul worked as a product designer and operated his own company in North Carolina. He loves learning new skills and exploring a variety of disciplines. He’s designed and built a range of things, from sets for school theater, to furniture, to leather products. This variety is reflected in his curriculum and in the projects found in his classroom.  

In addition to teaching, Paul creates the daily video announcements shown at school. He loves videography and photography and enjoys producing videos for a school audience.  

Paul is an avid audiobook listener and rarely goes a day without listening to books. His first job was as a page in his local public library, and books have had a strong presence in his life since he learned to read. He loves computer games and has built several computers over the years. This is often a shared interest with his students, and he is able to recommend games with educational value to students and parents.
