Yvonne Xiao is an advocate of progressive educational methods with more than nine years of professional experience in the education field. She holds a teacher certificate and her background encompasses a wide range of experiences which include distributing, training, and supporting E-Learning platforms for a Hong Kong-based e-learning solution developer; classroom teaching’ and leading a Makerspace and integrating Maker Education in a Project Based Learning school in Shenzhen.

Yvonne adapts Stanford d.school’s design thinking model as part of her core philosophy and teaching method in various aspects such as problem solving and content creation. In the last four years, Yvonne has not only taught students from preschool to high school but also hosted workshops and events in the education community. An avid maker herself, Yvonne also volunteers her time in community work through non-profit SteamHead, and is a member of MakeFashion Edu production team.
