Lucia Xu is the MYP mandarin teacher who likes working with students. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, followed by a Teaching license in TCSOL. 

Having started her teaching career in an International School in Thailand. After two years working there, She decided to apply the program to work in UK as a Mandarin teacher. She worked in two different schools in UK and one of them is an International school. She taught Mandarin from Year 2 to Year 11,so she had the chance to explore the British education system and gained the experience in teaching IB and GCSE Chinese. 

She strongly believes that real learning comes from intrinsic motivation and strives to create a student-centered and inquiry-based classroom environment.  Lucia believes the school's values and the IB program will develop wonderful young learners and leaders. She is very excited to be part of the ISNS team and is looking forward to a wonderful school year!
