Her family then moved to the United Kingdom, where Sandra grew up and got her British Education from. Sandra went to University at Birmingham City University and studied a BSc in Film Production and Technology, where she worked for BBC as Broadcasting Engineer. Sandra then studied TEFL and found a love of teaching and went back to study for her Postgraduates Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Sandra has over five years of teaching experience including five years teaching kindergarten, primary and middle school. Before joining ISNS, Sandra taught EAL (English as another language) to primary at a British boarding school.

Sandra trained to be an EAL teacher in the United Kingdom but her life changed when he came to China to teach English at public schools. After 3 years of teaching early years in China and several years a young volunteer working with younger disadvantaged youth in the UK, Sandra discovered her passion working with the youngest learners.

China has a special place in Sandra’s heart. She has been able to learn about the beautiful culture, language, travel around the breathtaking country and meet wonderful, interesting locals. Sandra has begun to feel like China is her second home.
