Max became a part of ISNS in 2022 as a PYP EAL teacher. She was born in Suzhou before moving to Shenzhen in 2020. After completing her bachelor’s degree in English at Tsinghua University in 2018, she went to the London School of Economics and Political Science for her master’s degree in Gender, Policy and Inequalities. As a visiting student, she also attended Trinity College Dublin and King’s College London, where she studied literature, linguistics, media, and gender studies.
Before joining ISNS, Max worked as an English teacher at a public high school. She also worked as a curriculum developer for an English course for youngsters based on their interests and an English classic reading course for adults. She feels that language education is an important means of empowering learners and that it is essential to help students develop critical thinking abilities and an open mind. She agrees that teachers and students learn from one another and always strives to foster a supportive, compassionate, and inclusive classroom environment. Max is inspired by the IB education philosophy, which stresses students’ ability to think independently and encourages students to be concerned with social issues outside the classroom.
Max is eager to join ISNS and collaborate with the educational professionals here!
