Victoria Xu

Lower PYP School Counsellor (K4-G2)

Victoria Xu is from Luoyang, Henan Province. She completed her dual Bachelor degree in English and Psychology from Wuhan University and Central China Normal University, where she strengthened her interest on mental health counseling. She finished her Master of Science in Education and Master of Philosophy in Counseling at University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she worked in the U.S. as a school counselor and obtained the mental health counselor associate license.

Prior to joining ISNS, she has been dedicated to emotional support for students and families with 1000+ hours direct service in Philadelphia and Seattle. Throughout her previous counselor positions, she provided individual and group counseling sessions for students regarding academic challenges, interpersonal conflicts, family issues, etc. She also provided crisis interventions for students who have been exposed to traumatic events. She believes that developing a genuine and trusting relationship is the foundation of counseling. She hopes to promote the students’ well-being academically and socially at ISNS and help them fulfill their potential.
