Jason is an MYP English Language and Literature teacher for grades 6-9.

Jason was born in San Antonio, Texas and spent his childhood summers traveling around the USA and camping at national parks with his grandparents. He completed his Undergraduate Degree at Midwestern State University. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities with a double concentration in English and Philosophy.  After graduating, Jason made the decision to obtain his teacher’s license and received his certification in English, Language Arts and Reading with a supplemental certification in English as a Second Language.  Jason taught in Texas for several years, but wanted to move abroad to have new experiences and learn more about different cultures.

Jason is a caring and qualified middle and high school English teacher with 14 years experience. He is an enthusiastic educator who understands the need for students to gain the skills and confidence to attain success in the classroom and in life. He is an adaptive professional with proven knowledge of classroom management, course design and curriculum development. When Jason isn’t in the classroom, you can find him playing guitar, bicycling around the city, or hiking the mountains and beaches around Guangdong. Jason has fallen in love with Shenzhen and is thrilled to be a part of the ISNS family.
